Being passionate about the vineyards of Western Liguria is a tradition that has been handed down in Sarola for three generations, giving life to its excellent D.O.C. wines: Rossese di Dolceacqua, Ormeasco di Pornassio, Pigato, and Vermentino Riviera Ligure di Ponente.
The Ramoino farm was established in the 1950s, when Giuseppe fell in love first with Angela and then with the Pigato made by his father-in-law Attilio, known as Tilò. Driven by the same passion, they then decided to build the winery in Sarola and produce Pigato and Vermentino white wines, seeking high quality to best satisfy their palate and that of their friends.
The passion that drove Giuseppe and Tilò has been lived and felt by their children. Carla, Domenico and his wife, Elvira took over in the 1980s, increasing the quality and profile of the Ramoino name, and adding to the winery with a restaurant for added conviviality and the pleasure of good living.
Now, it’s time for the third generation, with Fabrizio, Fabiana and Danilo. Inspired by the Rossese wine, they have expanded production with the acquisition of vineyards in Dolceacqua and are now awaiting the fourth generation that plays between barrels and vineyards.
