Ligurian Vineyards by Azienda Agricola Ramoino

In Ligurian vineyards, “good wine is made on the vine”. This old saying of winegrowers the world over, it is also true. It is no coincidence that our family takes maniacal care of its vineyards.

Quality starts with love for the vineyard

WHERE QUALITY IS BORN

We want to share our passion for native Ligurian grape varieties with you. We know that “good wine is made on the vine”, and that is why we tend our vineyards with love and care. We choose the best land and make sure it has the right exposure to the sun, the right hillside and the ideal geological constitution. We follow traditions handed down from generation to generation, such as short pruning and cluster thinning, to obtain grapes of exceptional quality. The high planting density, between 6,000 and 11,000 vines per hectare, guarantees a limited yield per vine, for Ligurian wines that come from the vineyard and not only from the winery.

Guardians of tradition

We have carefully chosen the most suitable vineyards for each type of wine we produce, because we know that soil, air and tradition all influence the quality of the wine. Vines, grapes and wine are living organisms and have an empathy with their host territory.

Looking after the vineyards involves a dialogue with history and with future generations, because vineyards are a tradition to be preserved and not a property. We engage with modernity without forgetting the lessons of our ancestors. The wines of Liguria, our wines, are the result of generations of hard work, sweat, and expertise, which is why we put our love and experience into their care, because they belong to those who come after us.

Our vineyards are located in the most suitable areas for each of the grape varieties:
